She began her modeling career and was later employed by Powers prior to becoming a performer at the age of 64, appearing on the show The Man from U.N.C.L.E. She was brought to greater prominence by her appearance as the character Josephine Joey MacDonald's principal character in El Dorado from 1966. Acting roles in the 60s and 70s helped make her a prominent actor.
