Kyra Sedgwick, an American actress, who is known for her appearances on TV as well as on the big screen has many fans. Her name is well-known throughout the world but especially in America. Sedgwick started to become interested in the art of the arts, Broadway, and acting at the age of 12 old. Sedgwick was introduced to Broadway through her mother who was a Broadway lover. Sedgwick had her first professional acting part in the age of 16 when she appeared in "Another World," a TV show. Sedgwick went on to play small time roles in the TV, but it was the idea that she could be a famous actor that enticed her. Her debut big screen performance was in the film 'Born on the Fourth of July,' in which she was co-starring with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick's popularity in this film led to her getting roles in other movies such as "Heart and Souls, "Phenomenon," etc. She worked in a TV movie called 'Lemon Sky and met her husband and actor Kevin Bacon and got married to him when she was barely 22. Sedgwick became a household name on American TV for her remarkable performance in "The Closer", a seven-season TV series which won her the Golden Globe Award and Emmy.
